SpaceX receives $2.9 billion to build NASA lunar lander

Musk-led space company SpaceX has been awarded a contract by NASA to design the lunar lander for the Artemis program. The contract is worth 2.9 billion dollars.

SpaceX has since been able to assert itself against Amazon founder Jeff Bezos’ company Blue Origin.

Under the Artemis program, NASA wants to take astronauts to the moon again for the first time since 1974.
