In a significant move to bolster the sustainability of Germany’s pension system, the Federal Labour Minister has proposed integrating self-employed individuals and civil servants into the statutory pension insurance scheme. Gundula Roßbach, President of the German Pension Insurance Association, supports the swift inclusion of self-employed workers, highlighting that this step has been under consideration for years and is outlined in the coalition agreement.
